The Transformers 1:24 series finally included the S2000
as Windcharger. This is the first model of the 2004 facelifted S2000.
Here are 3 rare pre-production variations.
Prototype V1: very crudely made model with poor fit
and finish. Distinguishing features from subsequent versions include a
clear roof and tonneau cover as well as wheel color. The car is also RHD
compared to the laters ones that were RHD. Stamped on the hood is "NOT
FOR SALE". Also notice the color of the headlamp inserts, the engine,
the rear bumper and the side sills.
Prototype V2: Much closer to production, all the body panels are
correctly colored and the fit and finish is better, though still not
perfect. Wheels are now silver and headlight and taillight inserts
are colored correctly. The roof, door panels, tonneau cover, roll
hoops and seats are close to the final color though the tonneau cover
color is still wrong. The car is now LHD.
Prototype V3: The windshield header is now red and fit and finish is
further improved. Surprisingly, the tonneau cover is still red.
The long canon under the car is now no longer included.
Prototype V4: The tonneau cover is finally the correct color and the
front bumper grille is now black.
