Onyx was the
early dominant modeler of mass produced 1:43 F1 cars before Minichamps
came along. In the late 80's and early 90's the Onyx F1 models
were considered very detailed for their scale and price. They
built separate bodies and baseplates for each model and model year.
However, the quality was inconsistent and the decals were of low
