What is harder to find in collectable condition than the rarest Tomica 1300 Coupe?
Here, we have a very similarly cast version of the 1300 Coupe but by Mandarin. Made in Singapore, most of these were low cost toys. Finding one in good shape is tough…
Tomica #7 is the Honda Coupe 9 (1300) . “COUPE9” license plate on the front only. “HONDA” and “9” badges casted onto trunk lid and while the front fenders have “H” and “9”. A “H” is cast into the nose of the car. The C pillars have a casted ventilation grille. RHD model with chromed metal bottom which also forms the front and rear bumpers and fascias. Doors operate. Dual outlet exhaust.
Maisto’s 1:55 (approx) Acura RSX is from their Excess Tuner series. The cars have bodykits and an aftermarket rear spoiler. Flashy graphics are on the side of the car. The bottoms are casted with “Acura RSX”, “Maisto” and “Made in China” with an reasonably correct undercarriage layout.
