One of the earlier Hondas that Tomica released, the Honda S800M wasn’t the first model to carry Tomica No. 23 on its box. That 1/51 scale model became the basis for dozens of variations for decades.
Tomica’s G3 Prelude did not have many variations. It was made in 1:59 scale with a black plastic base to typical Tomica detail for this scale of diecast. Released initially in 1988, the most recent release was about 18 years later.
Tomica released the last in the series of Honda City models from the 80s when the City Turbo II was released in 1984. The Honda City, City Turbo, City Turbo II and City Cabriolet using a very similar casting – with variations in the hood, wheel arches and paint, in the case of the Cabriolet.
Tomica released the City Turbo in 1983 after a short-lived use of Tomica No.54 by the original City.
Tomica released Honda’s first Fit in 2002 sporting a nice shape and opening rear hatch.
