Red/silver original release
The first release from May 1984 was the red with silver below the beltline on the sides and with silver bumpers that were integrated with its painted metal base. The ivory interior extended to become a ivory engine in its engine bay – visible through an operning hood. This first release was made in Japan through its production.
Blue “Maruei” promotional custom
The Maruei promotional release used the stock box for packaging. As with the regular version, the silver painted base extends to the front and rear bumpers that are integrated into the base. The difference on this release is that the sides were not painted.
Blue (boxed set)
With a casting-typical white interior, this made in Japan blue variant is from a Tomica gift set exclusive, this release has lower cladding in a silver that looks light blue with “DOHC” just ahead of the rear wheels.
