Tomica’s Vamos – sometimes known as the golf cart.
The earlier Made in Japan Vamos’ had a reclining front seat with a vertical bar that looks like a roof support. The newer Made in China ones have shorter seats that don’t recline. The Japanese models also have a detailed undercarriage compared to the featureless baseplate of the newer ones.
The original regular release started in 1972 and was last produced in early 1977. Through this time, it evolved through 2 variations of wheels. In 2000, for Tomica’s 30th, the Vamos was reissued with modern wheels and leaving out the details and operating feature of the original release.
